The book shows 58 black-and-white and 3 colour photographs from Anja de Jong. Alongside these images, the authors Bernlef and Jan Brokken reflect on the borderland landscape from their own experience, scenic connoisseur Rik Herngreen writes about the perception of landscape in The Netherlands and art historian Tineke de Ruiter gives The Borderland Project a place in the photographic portrayal of the landscape. All texts are written in English as well as in Dutch.

Alongside these images, the director of the Nederlands Foto Instituut in Rotterdam Loek van der Molen(†) writes the preface and in her essay art historian Tineke de Ruiter gives De Jong’s photographs a place in the portrayal of the landscape. Both texts are written in English as well as in Dutch.

Ice Edge – IJsgrens

A multiple in a run of 30 copies consisting of a portfolio designed by
Vincent van Baar and 3 original pigment prints made by Anja de Jong from her project Ice Edge – IJsgrens. The prints are signed and numbered by the photographer. A covering and illustrated text about the project Ice Edge – IJsgrens is included.

Form: format portfolio 50 x 35cm, finished with acid free paper.
The format of the pigment prints is 48 x 34cm, image size 37,5 x 25cm.

BERLIN’S COVERED HISTORY

Berlin’s Covered History shows 15 colour photographs full spread printed over two pages and 1 black-and-white photo from Anja de Jong. Alongside the images, there is an introduction in which the creation of the project and the book is explained. Author Jan Brokken writes in his essay ‘Berlin Seven Times Over – A little less history, please’, about his travel memories and his experiences in the German capital before and after the fall of the Wall. All text is written in English as well as in Dutch.
